There has been an update to the schedule for the upcoming overnight closures for the Grimsargh Skew Bridge project.
Next week Preston Road will now only be closed for two nights from Thursday 30th April at 10pm until Friday 1st May at 5:45am and again on Friday 1st May at 10pm until Saturday 2nd May at 5:45am.
The following week the overnight closures will run each night at 10pm until 5:45am from Tuesday 5th May to the morning of Saturday 9th May. Once the road reopens on Saturday 9th May no further traffic management will be needed during the remaining work.
This change has been enabled by some collaboration between AE Yates and their surfacing contractor, reducing the number of required overnight shifts and moving some of the planned works into the daytime under the existing traffic management setup.
