Thank you so much to our work experience young man who, as a thank you painted me this picture, that is now proudly up in my clinic room. We love seeing our young patients grow and mature, having them complete their work experience in the clinic fills us with joy. We get to share in their learning experience about how to run a clinic and see more of the chiropractic journey others are on.

It’s International Day of Friendship

Friends. They cheer with us when we’re happy and support us when we’re sad. They encourage us to try new things, challenge us and help us to navigate through the ups and downs of life.

I always get asked ‘who treats you?’ and the answer is Becky. Becky treats all the staff at Kenworthy Chiropractic, she joined the team 17 months ago and has become a key member of our Team. If you need a last minute adjustment and Johanna isn’t available you can always book in with Becky, lots of patients jump between chiropractors depending on their availability (the chiropractors don’t take it personally, they are just happy that you are continuing your chiropractic journey).
Becky loves animals (she also adjusts them), spending time with her family and she is also talented dancer. Want to get to know her better book in.

It’s been a while since we’ve written a food review, but we thought we should give a mention to Saucier on Market Street.

Usually we wouldn’t buy pasta in a restaurant. It’s easy enough to make the same thing at home most of the time for a sixth of the price. We’ve broken that rule on a number of occasions, but haven’t changed our minds - Until last night at Saucier.

We ordered one pasta with shin of beef and the other with nduja sausage and both were outstanding. The plates aren’t huge (they recommend three plates per couple), nor are they cheap, but everything is made from scratch and much of the produce is sourced locally. But more importantly it tasted fantastic. And it tasted like something we’d couldn’t make at home, so I’d say it’s worth every penny.

We ordered some warm focaccia to supplement our meal and left feeling well fed and contented. We’re going to head back over later this week to try one of his sandwiches which sound equally enticing.

Six Legs Good

If you’re making the trip into Preston to visit the clinic with your children, or are naturally curious, you would do well to take a detour onto Winckley Square where a number of five star insect hotels have been erected in the South East section of the square (close to Starkie Street).

The hotels are designed to appeal to a variety of discerning insects including bees, ladybirds and lacewings amongst others. These structures have been added by the Friends of Winckley Square with assistance from a number of UCLAN students.

Happy Midwife Day!

Thank you to those who help bring babies into the world. It’s a hard profession full of beauty and love. It’s such an amazing time being a new parent and we have midwives to thank.

Chiropractic can help expectant mums be in the best possible place to try and have a natural birth. It also helps women recover from births that don’t go the way you want. Never put up with pain, no matter what your delivery method was.

Just to let you know the clinic will be closed on Easter Monday. Johanna will also be away from the 24th April and will be back on the 3rd May but Becky is available for those who are in need of an appointment.

Thank you to Blog Preston for sharing our concerns over the safety of the demolition of the Orphanage. We have watched this story play out for years, we have all seen the decline in the building and seen the mess it has created at our end of the street. Fingers crossed the plans for apartments go ahead.
