🎂 Happy Birthday Jimmy 🎂

We would like to wish our lovely gent, Jimmy, a very happy 81st birthday from all of us here at Stocks Hall Skelmersdale! Presented with a beautiful homemade birthday cake whilst all our staff were singing ‘Happy Birthday’, it was a lovely afternoon ❤️

💅 A Lovely Pamper 💇‍♀️

Two of our lovely ladies enjoyed a pamper last week by our fab hairdresser Sharon, and WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen. Nails polished ✅ and a hand massaged ✅ both Christine and Sandra felt a million dollars with their new nails by Sheereen ❤️

Sharon also worked her magic on our already beautiful Sandra who got a cut and blow - she is glowing 😍

🎂 Happy Birthday Bob! 🎂

Last week, we celebrated our lovely Bob’s 81st birthday 🥳

Surrounded by our loving staff, everyone joined in singing Happy Birthday, whilst he was presented with a delicious homemade birthday cake made by our kitchen team ❤️

⭐️ Bingo Night Fundraiser! ⭐️

WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen’s amazing bingo night is back again on Friday 3rd April - doors 7pm at E ROOMS 😍

It’s going to be another brilliant night and all for a good cause, our Residents Fund, to allow more fun days out, experiences and enriching activities ❤️

Chinese New Year 🧧 🐲❤️

Chinese new year celebrations started at our home this morning with our residents listening to a CNY live stream and watching fireworks on the tv. We then had a lovely three course lunch meal for our lovely families made by our amazing Kitchen Team 😍

In the afternoon the dragon danced and paraded its way through both units and visiting residents in their rooms - what a fantastic costume! To finish we had our fortune cookies all round ❤️🥠

Gentleman’s Pamper Morning by Sheereen ✨

WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen says, “I have put on a new activity on a Friday. It’s a gents pamper including a wet shave in the salon, hot flannel and post shaving balm. Music is played in the background to set the atmosphere… You can see how happy David is here!” ❤️

What a fabulous idea and just look at how happy all of our other gents were too ⭐️

🎂 Happy Birthday Bob 🎂

Last week, we celebrated our lovely Bob’s 73rd birthday 🥳 Surrounded by our devoted staff, we sang a chorus of ‘Happy Birthday’ and presented Bob with a decadent chocolate made by our amazing kitchen team! Such a wonderful day celebrating our Bob 🥰

A Flippin’ Great Pancake Day 🥞❤️

As we all do on Shrove Tuesday, our ladies, gents, staff and visitors had fun tossing their pancakes! Please read on to learn of a lovely moment between WISH Activity Team Lead Sheereen and one of our ladies… ✨

Sheereen said, “This simple activity brought sentimental memories back for one of our ladies who said she had the children lined up to get their pancake as soon as it was cooked. She even remembered a song that she sang to her children too!” 🥰

That’s why we do what we do in Social Care, for moments like that. Well done, everyone ❤️

Making Valentine’s Cards ❤️💌

With Valentine’s Day being just around the corner, WISH Activity Team members Sheereen and Jess, have been crafting with our ladies and gents making beautiful cards 🎨

Everyone got creative to make a handmade love letter to their loved ones and we just can’t wait to send them out 🥰

Our New Instrument! 🥁✨

We had so much fun last week when our new instrument arrived - a hand pan 👋

It’s the new addition to our other instruments of a xylophone, drums and tambourines! We love to get them out and play along to our favourite songs ❤️
