💚 Mental Health Awareness Week: 11–17 May 💚
This year’s theme is “Take action” — a reminder that small steps can make a real difference to our mental health, whether that’s talking to someone, getting outside, resting, asking for help, or checking in on someone else.
Mental health matters every week of the year, but this week is a good opportunity to remind our Southport community that support is available.
Local support includes:
🌿 NHS Sefton Talking Therapies
Free, confidential support for people aged 16+ registered with a Sefton GP.
Call 0300 303 2708 or self-refer online.
🌿 Kooth
Free online mental health and wellbeing support for young people in Sefton aged 11–25.
🌿 Southport Crisis Café
For adults aged 18+ who need out-of-hours mental health support.
Open Friday to Sunday, 5pm–11pm at Alchemy, 3 Mornington Road, Southport, PR9 0TS.
Call 0300 323 0197.
🌿 Urgent mental health support
Call NHS 111 and select the mental health option.
In an emergency or if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.
Please don’t struggle alone. Reaching out is a positive first step — and support is there when you need it. 🫶❤️
