• All children aged 2 – 3 years
• 6 months to 17 years with certain long-term health conditions
• 18 years – 25 years and on SEN register
The 'MAIN EVENT' clinic will be held all day on Saturday 11 October at Elvington Medical Practice. Eligibility for this clinic is for:
• Those aged 18 years to under 65 years in clinical risk groups
• Those aged 65 years and over (including those who are 64 but

• Carers in receipt of carer’s allowance, or those who are the
main carer of an elderly or disabled person
• Close contacts of immunocompromised individuals
We shall be offering both the FLU vaccination and COVID booster. You can choose on the day if you would like to receive both vaccinations.
We will be sending invitations to everyone that is eligible to attend the MAIN EVENT vaccination day from the 30th of August.
It does take a lot of time, planning and of course the generosity of our teams who give up their weekend to make this day happen for our patients. We will of course be carrying out some later clinics for those that are away and unable to make the 11th October but, please do support your local practice so that we can continue to support you.
We look forward to seeing everyone for another jam-packed vaccination season 😊

Elvington Medical Practice serves over 7,200 patients, within Elvington and neighbouring villages to the south east of York. The Practice prides itself on being a central and active part of the community and providing patients with a personal and professional service. There has been a medical presence in the village for nearly 200 years.
We provide a range of primary health services to our community, and provide a base from which nurses, midwives, physiotherapists and health visitors operate. Further information on these services can be found within our website, including links to useful trusted external resources.
Our most recent patient survey rated us well above the national average across most areas assessed. This demonstrates the effort that we put in to delivering the highest quality of care and best patient experience possible. We constantly review patient feedback to inform our development.
We are a member of the Vale of York Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG). The CCG is responsible for the monitoring of healthcare in the Vale of York and the planning and design of many of the health services. Much of the funding we receive, and direction over what services we can provide and how, comes from the CCG.
We are proud to be a Hull York Medical School teaching practice, offering medical students and trainee GPs the opportunity to learn from the experience our doctors have. We appreciate the fact that many of our patients volunteer to help with the teaching experience in the practice.
We are committed to the NHS Constitution, which sets out rights to which patients, public and staff are entitled, and pledges which the NHS is committed to achieve, together with responsibilities which the public, patients and staff owe to one another to ensure that the NHS operates fairly and effectively.
