I had the privilege of attending the ExxonMobil Guyana Guyana Alumni Network Cocktail last evening, an event that highlighted meaningful collaboration, youth development, and continued national progress.

My participation was strengthened by my prior involvement in the ExxonMobil-sponsored Econome Business Conference & Mixer, led by the relentless Mr. Matthew Gaul. That engagement positioned me to be part of this important gathering, and with Mr. Gaul’s leadership, EconoMe 2026 is expected to be bigger, bolder, and full of new opportunities.

The evening featured insightful remarks from ExxonMobil representatives, recognition of outstanding youth-focused organizations, and a productive networking session that fostered valuable professional connections.

⚠️ PUBLIC AWARENESS - Neck Massage Is NOT Something Anyone Should Attempt ⚠️

A video has been circulating recently showing someone performing neck massage techniques.

I want to bring this to the public’s attention because many people don’t know that the neck region is a major contraindication in Massage Therapy unless the therapist is properly trained.

The neck is one of the most delicate areas of the human body.
It contains:

- Major blood vessels (carotid artery & jugular vein)

- Sensitive nerves

- The cervical spine

- Lymph nodes

- The thyroid gland

- The airway

A single wrong move can cause:

- Dizziness or fainting

- Nerve irritation

- Breathing difficulty

- Blood vessel compression

- Serious medical emergencies

Always remember

Only a professionally trained and certified Massage Therapist with clinical understanding of Anatomy & Physiology should perform cervical (neck) techniques.

Untrained individuals should never attempt neck massage on anyone, the risks are far greater than they may realize.
