In this episode, Dara Byrne, a fertility specialist and women’s therapeutic coach, shares her personal journey with infertility and how it led her to support other women going through similar struggles. She discusses the importance of emotional and social support during the fertility journey and highlights the need for comprehensive support that extends beyond fertility treatments. Dara also introduces the Fertility Support Collective, a network of fertility and perinatal specialists and therapists, and discusses the challenges and limitations of government funding for IVF. Finally, she provides insights into coping strategies during the two-week wait, reframing how we look at and implement self-care, (what that even means to us when we're at capacity) and the importance of building life skills. This conversation explores the emotional toll of infertility and provides insights on how to navigate the complex emotions and deal with insensitive comments. It emphasises the importance of understanding personal desires and coping with grief, as well as taking responsibility for emotional well-being. The conversation also highlights the benefits of Reiki for fertility and emotional well-being. Finally, it offers information on how to work with Dara Byrne, covering Fertility, Pregnancy, Motherhood and Women’s Emotional Wellbeing and Wellness.
