Winter evenings at Lisnavagh have a quiet presence of their own as the atmosphere invites us to a slower rhythm: Walks through frost-touched grounds, early nights by the fire, shared meals, and the simple comfort of being held by the house and its surroundings ❤️

Yoga retreats at Lisnavagh offer you the chance to reconnect with your own time and movement 💆🏽‍♀️ Here, the day isn’t rushed. Practices are gentle, considered and adaptable, allowing you to reconnect with your body without pressure or expectation. You’re invited to move, pause, rest, and breathe at your own pace, guided rather than driven.

Our yoga classes invite you to tune back in finding your own rhythm, listening to your body and remembering the feeling of moving through time without pressures or schedules. And outside our Garden Wing, there’s space to wander the gardens, walk through the woods, or simply sit by the fire and slow down.

Meals are thoughtfully prepared to nourish and restore yourself, using fresh and seasonal ingredients from our Walled Garden. Evenings unfold quietly, with space to rest, soak in a bath, curl up with a book, or share conversations by the fire. At the end, the rhythms from the night allows you a sense of balance and ease to return on its own 🧘🏽‍♀️

Every season at Lisnavagh brings its own quiet magic ✨ But there's something different about winter as it’s a time to slow down and savour the season to reflect and renew ourselves.

One of the things we enjoy the most is people coming to Lisnavagh to experience forest bathing in order to reconnect with nature and themselves — simply by being present among the trees, the birdsong and the earthy scent of spring. Morning mist drifts over the woodlands and sunlight filters through beautiful trees, inviting you to slow down, to listen, to notice. To breathe deeply, and let the stillness of the forest steady the mind.

That’s why we like to think of Lisnavagh as a sanctuary shaped by nature, where each moment outdoors feels like a quiet reminder of balance and belonging, of breathing and reconnecting 💫

As we come to the end of another year at Lisnavagh, we find ourselves looking back with a deep sense of gratitude 💫 2025 gave us so many meaningful moments worth holding onto! Each season brought its own rhythm, and each event its own circle of people sharing meaningful moments, filling Lisnavagh with a sense of community

We met guests who arrived as strangers and left as friends. We welcomed familiar faces who continue to be part of Lisnavagh’s story. We walked the grounds with gardeners, artists, teachers, families, and curious visitors; we shared meals made from produce grown only steps away; and we watched as the estate offered its calm, beauty, and space to everyone who passed through.

Thank you for joining us and for supporting our different activities to keep Lisnavagh alive ❤️ As we get into a short winter pause we look forward to the year ahead — to new events, new harvests, and new moments of connection across the house, the gardens, and the woods.

Wishing you a peaceful Christmas and a Happy New Year, we hope to welcome you back to Lisnavagh in 2026 ✨

Our dear Tobar has finally left us after 16 happy years. Tobar, who always liked to do just what he wanted (right to the end) was a big character - sometimes facetious and mostly loving. He was highly intelligent and cost us a fortune in shoes and boots he would often carry one out into the woods in his mouth dropping it when he picked up an interesting smell. Carrying something in his mouth - including a giant teddy bear - was his way and quite often it was a log - the heavier the better which he would wrap his jaw around and carry it in his mouth in a systematic manner with his hang dog look. He hunted birds but guns was not his thing and when there was a clay pigeon shooting group at the house we put ear muffs on him which did the trick - in his latter years he turned deaf which helped him! What a character and he will live on in our memories. We will miss him greatly and so will our Lulu, Bear and Tumble. RIP ❤️💚💔 ✨
