This 3hr workshop is perfect for setting yourself up for the New Year and making time to reflect on 2025.
Yin yoga is a slow-paced, quiet and contemplative practice which consists of a series of long-held, passive floor poses. It is designed to improve flexibility, calm the mind and body, and reduce stress, anxiety and physical tension that can be held in the connective tissues. Yin yoga is slower and more meditative, giving you space to turn inward and tune into both your mind and the physical sensations of your body. Since you’re holding poses for a longer period of time than you would in other traditional types of yoga, yin yoga helps you stretch and lengthen those rarely-used tissues, while also teaching you how to breathe through discomfort and sit with your thoughts and emotions.
Combining yin yoga with the journalling process elicits calm and helps your mind and body to enter into a relaxed state, therefore helping you to access insights you may not have had otherwise. The first two hours of the workshop will be a yin yoga practice, with the final hour given over to journalling, reflecting on 2025 and setting intentions for 2026.
