Carlow Day Care Centre The Carlow Day Care Centre gives you a chance to meet new friends old and new and also sharing fun activities Our day begins at 10 am and ends at 4:00 pm.

Our service is available to older persons living in the Carlow area. We provide the option of a mini bus that can collect you at your door and also brings you back home in the afternoon. The cost per day is €8 and this includes your four course meal and the bus service. We are located in the town beside Askea Church and Askea Community Centre on the Brownshill Road.

We have availability to welcome new service users. The centre has been in operation for 21 years, providing essential services to older persons in the Carlow town environs and Laois border areas. Our opening hours are 10 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. A 4 course meal is served every day and minibus transport to and from the centre is available to those who do not have their own transport, up to a distance of 7 kms. Various fun and educational activities are also part of the services offered, including arts & crafts, chair yoga, mindfulness & meditation, bingo, flower arranging and musical afternoons. Cost is €10 per day. Practical supports with showers are also provided as needed, as well as subsidised hairdressing. Outings are also held throughout the year.
