There she goes! 🥹

So proud of who completed a 3/4 marathon at the weekend!! What an achievement! Especially for someone who only started running in October 🤯 Superwoman 🦸‍♀️

We had a great time cheering everyone on during the race - nothing beat the feeling of seeing people smile when they saw our signs, or hearing them say 'I really needed that' when they were battling to keep going. Such a rewarding experience! 🥹

Credit to for coming through with the beautiful photos as always - as dedicated as always! 🥰

Feels like summer ☀️

Today's run was perfect apart from the fact that my knee reminded me that a marathon at the weekend might be a bit much 🤣

Sure we'll give it a go 🙌

Who is doing the this weekend?

Bodyweight lower body workout 👌 Zero equipment required for this one! 😉

Anyone who has seen my recent stories/posts knows that I'm struggling with knee pain when I run. Admittedly, I've been slacking with strength training lately which is the most likely reason behind the injury. I've learned my lesson! 😆

I didn't really fancy an indoor workout today, so I took a mat outside and did a little bodyweight session. I also wanted to make this workout as knee-friendly as possible because squats and lunges don't feel so good right now.

2-3 sets of 15 reps of each of the following exercise (not forgetting to work both sides equally!):

1. Single Leg RDL
2. Single Leg Glute Bridge
3. Clamshells
4. Copenhagen Plank
5. Hovers
6. Straight Leg Hamstring Bridge Marches
7. Soleus Raises
8. Single Leg Straight Leg Calf Raises

Strength training is one of the best things runners can do to prevent injury. It doesn't need to be complicated or take a long time - anything is better than nothing! 💪

Do you strength train?

Finally back into training after being out sick and slightly injured for the past few weeks!

Putting on my best power pose for the first pic because you gotta fake it 'til you make it, right? 🤣

I'm definitely feeling a loss in fitness and my knee is not 100% perfect yet, which is not ideal given that it's just 4 weeks out from the marathon. Rather than focus on the negatives though, I am going to look on the bright side!

The fact that my goal time is far less likely means that the pressure is off for the race, which will give me the opportunity to enjoy it more and soak up the atmosphere on the day!

When training doesn't go to plan (and it very rarely will 😂), it is important to adapt to the situation, adjust your expectations, and try and take something positive out of it!

Last week in pictures 📸

I have been quiet on here for the past week or so because I have been taking a well needed break. A break from work, training, social media - everything.

I've spent the last week relaxing, hiking, exploring and enjoying nature (and being robbed, because you can't have the good without the bad 🤣).

Time to get back into everything this week.

Feeling recharged!⚡️

It's a well known fact that stopping to pet every animal you see on your long runs makes you 10x faster. 😆

Unfortunately not every animal will accept pets though 🥺 (e.g. the cat in the second last video).

Swipe to the end to see my dog being jealous that she could smell another dog on me. 😂

A very enjoyable 27km today! 🥰

Who else stops to pet animals on their runs? 🤔

Another week of training in the bag! 🏃‍♀️

Struggled a bit this week to keep up with everything - especially with my nutrition, which has definitely been slacking lately!

Next weeks goal is to get on top of meal prep/planning to make sure I'm fueling my body in the best way possible.
