Practicing pregnancy yoga can provide an escape from both the physical and emotional demands on your body and mind at this time. Improving sleep. Become aware of you breath and learn breathing techniques for labour and birth. Reducing stress. Relieves lower back pain. Helps get better posture and balance. Works to strengthen your Pelvic floor for an easier delivery and lower risk of incontinence after birth. Helps decreases carpal tunnel syndrome symptoms, headaches and shortness of breath. Remember in your yoga practice to enjoy this time build strength and stability rather than focusing on flexibility, preparing your body and mind for labor and birth. When attending class wear something loose and comfortable. Bring a bottle of water always stay hydrated. Once you've reached 14 weeks and have clearance from the doctor you can attend class.
