Myself and the bump 🤰finally got to train with the lovely who developed the popular RLD technique. A course Iv been trying to do for the last two years to support my own health & my clients.

Not only did I learn loads about Sally & her research on her Reflexology Lymphatic Drainage, I also received some treatments & hang out with 20+ other practitioners from all over Ireland and the USA. Sharing, learning and connecting was priceless. 🫶

Sally developed RLD from first hand experience working with cancer patients and years of clinical practice. This innovative approach to reflexology has attracted, national and international awards, and widespread recognition so it’s very exciting to be able to add this into our list of services

While “regular” reflexology supports some of the lymphatic system, RLD works exclusively on the lymphatic system reflex points and targets the body that will work really well for our female clients with;

✔️Lymphoedema
✔️Cancer support
✔️Inflammation & Immune System
✔️Fluid balance / fluid retention
✔️Pre / Post Surgery healing
✔️Hormone / PMS support
✔️Conditions like Endometriosis
✔️Pain (arthritis, fibromyalgia etc)
✔️Immune related issues
✔️Chronic fatigue
✔️Sinus issues / congestion
I am really looking forward to adding these new techniques into our popular Face and Foot Reflexology treatments and seeing how our clients benefits.

OfHere are five reasons why omega-3 fatty acids are beneficial for hormones and fertility. But first, take note that you can get omega 3 from oily fish like salmon, mackerel, nuts, flax seeds, chia seeds, grass fed dairy.

1. Regulating Hormonal Balance.Omega-3 fatty acids may help regulate hormone production and balance, which is essential for reproductive health and fertility.

2. Reducing Inflammation: Omega-3s have anti-inflammatory properties, which can help reduce inflammation potentially improving fertility and hormone function.

3. Supporting Egg Quality: Studies suggest that omega-3 fatty acids may improve egg quality by enhancing cell membrane integrity and protecting against oxidative stress, which is crucial for successful fertilization.

4. Enhancing S***m Health: Omega-3s are beneficial for s***m production and quality.

5. Menstrual Cycle: Adequate intake of omega-3 fatty acids may help regulate the menstrual cycle by supporting hormone production! Our hormones are made from fats 🥰
Aim to get 2 portions of oily fish per week along with adding some nuts and seeds to help you increase this wonderful nutrient that can support your hormones and/or fertility,

🌱 Unlock the power of selenium for hormone health and fertility! 🌱
Looking to optimize your hormonal health and support your fertility prior to conception? Dive into the benefits of selenium! Here are five reasons why this essential mineral should be a part of your fertility diet plan:
:
1️⃣ Regulates thyroid function: Selenium plays a crucial role in thyroid hormone metabolism, supporting a healthy thyroid, which is vital for fertility.
2️⃣ Antioxidant protection: Selenium acts as a powerful antioxidant, protecting reproductive cells from oxidative damage and promoting overall reproductive health.
3️⃣ Enhances egg quality: Studies suggest that selenium may improve egg quality by reducing oxidative stress and supporting proper cell division.
4️⃣ Supports s***m health: Selenium is essential for s***m formation and motility, contributing to male fertility and reproductive success.
5️⃣ Balances hormones: Selenium helps regulate hormone levels, promoting a balanced hormonal environment conducive to conception.
While there is no “fertility diet” there are certain nutrients and dietary principles that can help support your overall health, hormones, gut and optimise egg and s***m quality,

Did you know that your grandmother carried a piece of you while your mother was growing in her womb? What a fascinating fact! ✨
Every female fetus, including your mother, developed all the eggs she will ever have while a fetus still inside of her own mom!
And of course, one of those eggs ultimately developed into you.
.
So in reality, you started cellular life inside of your grandmother. The three of you have and always be connected for life.
Science is now showing that we as women have a role to play for future generations. How we support the quality of our own eggs can positively impact our grandchildren for generations to come.

As a women’s nutritionist & holistic health practitioner, I can’t stress enough the importance of incorporating nourishing fats into your diet every day! Here are a few reasons why:
Fertility / Hormones
🥗Nutrient Absorption: Fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K require fats to be absorbed by the body.
🤰Egg Quality: particularly omega-3 fatty acids found in fish, flaxseeds, and walnuts, have been linked to improved egg quality.
🔥reduces inflammation, protect against oxidative stress, and support cellular function, all of which contribute to healthier eggs and increased chances of conception.
😊Satiety and Weight Management: Healthy fats help you feel fuller for longer, which can prevent overeating and support weight management goals.
🧁can help stabilize blood sugar levels and reduce cravings for high sugar snacks.
…………
Menopause
➡️Hormone Balance: During menopause, estrogen levels decline, which can lead to hormonal imbalances. Healthy fats play a crucial role in supporting hormone production and balance, helping to alleviate symptoms such as hot flashes, mood swings, and vaginal dryness.
🦴omega-3 fatty acids, support bone health by reducing inflammation and promoting calcium absorption, helping to maintain bone density and reduce the risk of fractures
❤️ can help lower bad cholesterol levels (LDL) and reduce the risk of heart disease and stroke
🧠brain - helping to support memory, concentration, and mental clarity.

Overall, incorporating healthy fats into the diet as a woman is vital for hormone health, fertility right through to peri / menopause.

The amazing role of one of our main hormones - Estrogen!
She is a key player in our female health, fertility all the way through to perimenopause & menopause.
The hormone estrogen helps to thicken our lining, support healthy periods, promotes fertility and has a role to play in brain, heart and overall female health.
Estrogen is one of the main hormones that declines and fluctuates during perimenopause / menopause so it’s really important that you speak to a doctor who can support your symptoms during this phase.
It’s also important that your gut and liver and clearing out excess Estrogen as this can lead to Estrogen dominance symptoms.
Learn to love your hormones and feel empowered through the different phases of life as a woman

Working towards health and lifestyle changes can be challenging but instead of aiming for perfection - work towards PROGRESS.
It’s the small, boring, thankless changes and habits that you consistently do that will help you move that 1 percentage closer to your goals.
Whether it’s supporting your stress, sleep, weight, hormones, fertility etc; 1 % progress is better and zero percent.
Be kind to yourself and back yourself!
No one is gonna do it for you ✨❤️✨

A reminder for the week ahead - running a million miles a minute and trying to tick all the boxes this week might not be what your body needs!
✨Listen to your body
✨Does she need rest
✨Is she dealing with heavy emotions
✨Does she need a breather
✨Can you nourish her more
✨Is pushing her too much this week a silly idea!!!!
Find pockets of time for yourself this week to catch your breathe, get some fresh air, put the phone away, say no to the things that do not serve you!
