Today, the 12th day of Christmas marks the end of the festivities, when women traditionally treated themselves and rested after all their hard work over the holiday season and men took on the household responsibilities for the day.

To all the wonderful women in St. Michael’s, grandmothers, mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, all our caring staff who are amazing, strong, inspirational women. We also remember the women who are no longer with us 🌟

What a “Bewdiful” festive celebration we had at ‘Red Riding Hood’ at the Lime Tree Theatre today. We all laughed, danced and clapped our way through this fun filled Panto, such a wonderful experience for all our residents 🎄 🤡 🎶

🎅 Santa swooped in on his sleigh to wish all the residents a very Happy Christmas, thank you so much to Jean Giggles Entertainment , Pat O’Toole, and of course the big man himself who spent time chatting to all 🥰

🎶 Míle Buiochas to the very talented boys and girls from 4th class in Caherline N.S who sang Christmas songs and played their musical instruments for the residents this morning, with our very own Christy joining in with his banjo. Big thanks also to their teachers Lisa and Eileen 🎄

🌺 Today we were treated to the fabulous flower arranging skills of Mary Keogh whose talent is incredible. As Mary worked her magic she regaled the residents with tales of local Christmas traditions, which we all enjoyed.

The pupils from Caherconlish N.S. Were the first group to bring the Christmas spirit to St. Michael’s this year and the residents loved their visit, especially the gorgeous Christina Harty whose birthday it happened to be. Not only did the children sing Happy Birthday to Christina, John Skeahan also sang his heart out for Christina❤️

We had a fabulous day at the Christmas Market today in the Millennium Centre, a million thanks to everyone who stopped by to make a purchase from our residents. It was a pleased to meet local Councillor Cllr Brigid Teefy 🥰
