😎 🍦 There was only one way to cool down today and that was to call The Ice Cream Man! There was lots of happy faces when the Van pulled in to deliver delicious 99’s with flakes and sprinkles 😋

🍃 This week we celebrate National Biodiversity Week in Ireland. We made a simple leaf craft which helped connect our residents with nature and also opened up conversations around the humble leaf, which in turn lead on to chats about trees and bogs, bats and bees, swallows and swifts 🐦

Today we celebrate an extraordinary milestone — the 100th birthday of one of our truly special residents Mrs Monica Butler. 🎉💐
A quiet, gentle lady with a heart full of kindness, Monica continues to inspire everyone around her every single day. As a former nurse herself, she has spent a lifetime caring for others, and it is now our privilege to care for her.
Staff and residents alike treasure her honesty, warm gratitude, and her wonderful ability to advocate for herself with dignity and grace. She reminds us all of the importance of kindness, strength, and staying true to yourself.



Reaching 100 years of age is an incredible achievement, and we are absolutely amazed and honoured to celebrate this remarkable lady today.



From all of us, thank you for the wisdom, warmth, and joy you bring to our home. Wishing you the happiest 100th birthday filled with love, laughter, and very special memories. 💖🎂✨

Conor Sheehan T.D for Limerick City very kindly invited our residents to visit Dáil Éireann on Tuesday last. Conor welcomed us off the bus in Kildare Street and from that moment until we boarded the bus again at 5.00pm we were greeted with kindness, patience and hospitality from all the staff in Dáil Éireann.
We were treated to delicious sandwiches, teas and coffee in the Visitors bar where we met Maurice Quinlivan TD , Niall Collins T.D. , and Pat the Cope - Dedicated, Experienced and Trusted. The residents were thrilled to hear our Taoiseach, Mícheal Martin fielding questions in the Dáil Chamber, overseen by the Ceann Comhairle, Verona Murphy.
From here we moved on to Seanad Éireann and we were honoured to be welcomed by the leader of the Seanad, receiving a wave from the Senators present. Tuesday was Estonia Independence Day and the Estonian Ambassador to Ireland was present. We enjoyed a wonderful tour led by the very knowledgeable Eoin.
A very special thank you to Úna Quinn, Conor Sheehan’s’ paralimentary secretary who organised this wonderful day for us which will long live in the memory of all who travelled to Dublin. Also a big thank you to Pat, our bus driver from Kelly’s Coaches who had endless patience with us and was so good humoured.

🥞 Happy Pancake Tuesday everyone 🥞 We had a fun filled pancake day, we made chefs hats to ensure there was no mistaking our pancake making skills! …never in doubt…They were delicious 😋
