🎨 There are still places available for the sensory friendly arts & crafts session taking place next week in City Library.

🖌🎨 City Library are hosting a sensory friendly arts & crafts workshop next month.

Specifically designed for children with additional sensory needs, the workshop will have a lower attendance cap, softer lighting and reduced additional noise. Attendees will have multiple seating/standing options, and will be able to enter and exit the space as suits. A limited number of ear defenders and sensory toys will also be provided, but attendees are also encouraged to bring their own. It will run from 11:30am-12:15pm, and parents/guardians will be asked to remain in the space throughout.
Attendees will be provided with a short booklet in advance which contains details of the event in order to give the children attending an idea of what to expect. This will include a photo of the Librarian hosting the workshop, a picture of the craft they'll be doing, and a short breakdown of where the event is/how the room will look for the event. This can be emailed to the parent/guardian, or a physical copy can be collected from the City Library.
