What a busy week we’ve had this week! We enjoyed some fabulous music and Irish dancing as well as a visit from Wally the miniature pony. The anticipation for the All-Ireland has been building all week, and our crew from Cork are ready to cheer their team on! Best of luck to our neighbours in the final 🔴⚪️

We are so saddened to have lost our lovely Mary Mac over the weekend. Originally from Boherbue, Mary always loved chatting about farming and animals. She had a fabulous smile and great sense of humour. Mary was a huge part of our St. Gobnaits family for the past 7 years. We will miss her dearly. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.

Of all the posts I put on this page over the years this is the most difficult……
This afternoon our beloved mother, Teresa (Tess), departed this world. She died in the place she started with my dad almost 40 years ago. We, her family, were privileged enough to be holding her hands as she gently left us.
As she departed St. Gobnaits for the last time, staff walked with us to bid her farewell.
She’s cared for so many people over the years and was cared for by wonderful staff, colleagues and friends in the last few years when she could no longer live at home.
She was a formidable lady who fought to the bitter end. She was beautiful, graceful, intelligent, extremely stylish, and had a wicked sense of humour!
We are left with wonderful memories which we will treasure forever.

Until we meet again Mam. Good night and God bless. We love you.
