Bon Secours Hospital Limerick is delighted to announce the commencement of our new breast service.

Our service provides comprehensive,high-quality outpatient care for all breast conditions with a highly personal and specialised outpatient service for symptomatic patients.We offer consultant led rapid access to the latest diagnostic imaging , investigations and pathways into treatment,all delivered by a dedicated multidisciplinary team.

We were also honoured to have the opportunity to showcase the inspiring work of Elaine Tucker and Óscar Mascareñas outside our new clinic. The 'Likeness of Us' reflects their shared artistic vision, bringing together striking colour and monochrome of wildlife and landscape from Ireland and Mexico.

The exhibition will be on display until the end of April and we are very grateful to share this meaningful collection with everyone who visits our clinic.

We were delighted to host our very first GP event at the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick! It was an excellent morning that brought together consultants from a range of specialties, providing a valuable opportunity to connect and network with GPs.

We were also pleased to hear insightful and engaging presentations from our consultants, Prof. Dr Ali Aldujeli, Dr Jude Ryan, and Dr Hassan Zaid.

A massive thank you to all the GPs, consultants, and staff who contributed to making this event both informative and successful!

Chief 1 Cardiac Physiologist



An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Chief 1 Cardiac Physiologist to join the Bon Secours Hospital Limerick.



Candidate Criteria:

Education:

Possess the B.Sc. in Clinical Measurement Science, Certificate in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement or hold an equivalent qualification.

Possess an equivalent relevant scientific qualification (Level 8) as confirmed by the Irish Institute of Clinical Measurement Physiology (IICMP).

Echocardiography accreditation, e.g. BSE, EACVI or equivalent.

Cardiac pacing accreditation, e.g. IBHRE, EHRA, BHRS

MSc / MBA (Desirable)

Management qualification (Desirable)

Experience:

At least 5 years post-grad experience in working as a physiologist in a cardiology department.

At least 3 of these years’ experience at senior level.

Deputising at Senior Manager level. (Desirable)

Managing Change Projects. (Desirable)

Managing significant budgets. (Desirable)

The DON is the senior professional nursing leader accountable for the quality, safety and professional standards of nursing care across all care portals in the hospital. As an active member of the Hospital Management Team (HMT), the post holder is required to act as a professional and clinical leader in the development of nursing practice and standards to ensure the delivery of efficient, quality assured and patient centred care.

Our Hospital Access Unit (HAU) at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick provides same or next-day, consultant-led care to patients referred by their GP.

Every patient is seen by a consultant in emergency medicine, supported by a dedicated nursing and healthcare team, with access to full diagnostic services on site - including X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound and laboratory testing.

The HAU allows patients to be assessed, investigated and treated promptly within our new, state-of-the-art hospital.
