The new Bon Secours Hospital Limerick continues to take shape - and recently, we reached a major milestone: the arrival of our new state-of-the-art 𝗠𝗥𝗜 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 – 𝗮 𝗚𝗘 𝗩𝗼𝘆𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗿.

This advanced diagnostic equipment represents a critical step in preparing for our opening this September - bringing enhanced imaging capabilities, faster diagnosis, and better patient outcomes to the Mid-West region, in partnership with Alliance Medical Ireland.

The arrival marks just one of many investments we’re making to ensure 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱-𝗰𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 in our new hospital.

The future of healthcare in the Mid-West is almost here.

On Wednesday 17th of June, we had the opportunity to thank and say farewell to Bill Maher out going CEO of Bon Secours Health System, for his leadership over the last nine years.

Bill was instrumental in the purchase of Barringtons Hospital by BSHS and behind the vision for the New Hospital opening in Limerick later this year.

We wish him well and he will be missed!

On Friday 23rd of May we gathered to thank Liza Leahy CNM2 Urology for her 20 years of service in Bon Secours Hospital Limerick at Barringtons as she commences a one-year career break.

Liza has been a dedicated and valued colleague and a devoted member of our Mental Health Team organising events and promoting well-being over the years.

We look forward to welcoming Liza back next year!

From Monday 6th of May to Saturday 10th of May, the mental health team at Bon Secours Hospital Limerick ran a variety of activities and events to promote mental health well-being and awareness to include keeping fit, showing kindness and healthy eating. The week was completed with a group participating in Darkness into Light on Saturday morning.

Many thanks to mental health team for their time and efforts in organising the events and congratulations to the winners of the fantastic spot prizes who took part in the Static Bike Competition.
