Feminine mid life crisis.

This topic is close to my heart for many reasons, one owing to the fact that many of these are what have happened to me as well.
As many of us reach our 30's, there are a few common questions and expectations from society and family, that may bog you down,like a ton of bricks,which leads to premature greying ,wrinkles and cellulite.
The expectation that by 29 you should have been married, have your 1st kid before 30,settled financially e.t.c wears most women down to the bone.
I sometimes wonder, is being a woman all about giving birth ,kids ,inlaws,husband and kitchen ?
Yes,biologically being a female does mean that the species depends on us but I don't think earth needs anymore cretins than required.
And yes, many of us have the choice to opt out of these aspects but without prejudice is a different ball game.
Personally society doesn't understand single or unmarried women at 30. Unless you've got parents to look after, there is no excuse to stay single or childless at 30 in Indian society,that could especially pacify the nosy old farts.
Well, out of my own personal experience of consciously deciding on not having kids now, I've had to have debates with people of the same age bracket as me, cause they don't understand the concept of not wanting to have children.
It's simple, it's my body,my mind and my soul.
Some people are not meant to be parents, and I belong to that group.
I don't feel the need to procreate and there should not be rules dictating when and why should one have kids.
No, many who dont want kids is not because they're infertile and yes many want to have kids but cant.
All these meddling questions add no value to the person's life and in many cases brings on mid life crisis.
How do you deal with this then?
Simple, you know when you're ready to achieve certain milestones, no one else can dictate that for you.
You've got to be sure of what you want or need and don't let age and society decide that for you.
Embrace your grey hair, eyesight issues, wrinkles and stretch marks.
Take care yourself in the best way possible and honestly be the best version of yourself for yourself.

How many of you have had a night out planned, or arranged coffee or a beer with friends and suddenly the 4 walls you inhabit seem the only safe haven because it's the only place you don't have to pretend you are ok, so you cancel.

Or when you are invited out you tell them how terribly sorry you are but you're already booked up that weekend, when you are actually just really busy holding it together in your safe box.

And so the first problem starts, all by itself.

People stop asking you and the isolation that at first wasn't true becomes your only truth.

Please don't give up on your friends. Call them, go be around them, even when they say they don't want you to. Because they really do they just don't know how to say it.

Please pay attention to your friends or families behavior: isolation, lack of interest in favorite hobbies, just a change of personality and daily living pattern, health, hygiene, over sleeping. Over eating/loss of appetite.
Depression is a silent illness/killer. And not everyone can see the symptoms (the silent killer)...until it's too late. 😔

*Unfortunately depression is very common amongst us all. And you wouldnt even have the slightest clue of who even has it. It happens mostly to the person you'd least expect.
