I have exciting news for you 🤗✨. I’m running a Perimenopause and Women’s Health in the 40s Workshop in Queenstown NZ.

Your thoughts impact your health. Holding on to negative thoughts increases your cortisol levels, which over time, lowers your immune system. Let go of crutches and focus on the good things in your.

❄️ “Women don’t need the water as cold as men in cold water immersion”

Is this really true?

Having done cold water immersion for 520 days in a row, I can say from experience that the more you swim in colder water, the better you can tolerate colder temperatures. 🏊‍♀️❄️

It’s not a question of being a man or woman; it’s the question of how much you’ve exposed yourself to the cold water. It’s like going to the gym
- the more you lift weights, the stronger you get. And every day is different. One day cold plunging is easy, another day it’s terrible.

Hormonal fluctuations also impact how cold the water feels at different stages of your cycle. 🩸

So it’s not about being a man or woman, how well you tolerate the cold. It’s about the level you’ve trained your body to the cold water immersion, and how you feel each day. 🏋️‍♀️🏋️

I don’t lift weights to look fit. I lift weights to:

- boost my energy levels
- balance insulin levels and blood sugar
- fight against the muscle loss in your 40s due to hormonal changes
- feel mentally strong
- to be able to climb mountains 🏔️
- be strong and active when I’m in my 80s ✨.

Why to drink bone broth? It’s full of collagen, which helps to improve your skin and your hair and your joints.

How to have a good start to your day in your 40s? My morning routine has changed a lot in my 40s to boost my energy levels up. Here’s what I do pretty much every morning:

- Eat cooked breakfast with protein, veggies and good fats (often eggs, avocados, olive oil, carrots). This keeps my blood sugar stable and energy levels higher.

- Cold plunge to wake up and boost energy levels.

- Do 10-15 min of breathwork to wake up my brain and start the day in calm state.

- Move the body by stretching, walking, yoga or going to the gym.

My morning routine takes time, but it sets me up for such a great productive day that it’s worth it. You don’t have to do it all, but even one of the listed things may help to boost your day remarkably ✨.

The 24h fast turned into 25 hours as I was walking a dog when I hit the 24h mark 😅.

I woke up this morning feeling like I was hungover, but I just miss out the vino and all the fun 🍷. So I jumped in a sauna to sweat out any toxins that were releasing during the fast and I also had activated charcoal to bind the toxins.

I broke the fast with delicious bone broth that is full of collagen and helps improve the gut lining and makes the gut happy.

Highly recommend trying out fasting as it resets your digestion, helps your body to repair itself and boosts your energy levels and concentration ✨.

I’m doing a 24 hour fast to reset my metabolism and gut microbiome and also to boost my energy levels.

I normally start my fasts around 10 am in the morning and I like to start my fast by having a solid brunch with eggs, bone broth and fruit & berry bowl. I time the fast with my cycle and do fasting between days 3-12 or 16-20, not to mess up my hormones.

In the next video, I’ll report back how the fast go 😊👌🏼.
