From 1 April 2026, the WINZ Funeral Grant has increased to $2,697.43.

Designed to help with essential funeral costs, including funeral director fees, burial or cremation fees, and mortuary services, the grant can help make funeral costs less burdensome.

A basic cremation does not include a service.
