🎄✨ Ho Ho Ho! Let’s Celebrate Christmas! ✨🎄

Our home was filled with laughter, music, and plenty of Christmas magic as residents and staff celebrated the season! From cheerful sing-alongs and beautifully decorated wards brimming with festive vibes, to surprise appearances by Santa Claus and Mini Santarina, smiles were everywhere and joy truly filled every corner.

The raw, everyday moments of our residents are often the most meaningful. Much like a home setting where seniors go about their usual routines, our residents — Mr Lim, Mr Lee, and Mr Ng — enjoy their morning activities, from exercises to simple “housework” such as vegetable plucking. These familiar routines have become a natural part of their day, showing that purposeful living is very much possible in a nursing home environment. ❤️

It’s the 3rd run of our Golden Talent Time! ✨

This signature competition and showcase has quickly become a beloved annual highlight, and our residents look forward to it every year. From math whizz to dancers, artists, crafters, colouring enthusiasts and singers — our contestants get to compete and showcase their talents on stage. Many also walked away with attractive prizes!

Most of all, we’re grateful for the chance to celebrate the wonderful talents of our residents. ❤

🦸‍♂️Not all heroes wear capes 🦸 — some wear scrubs, uniforms, name tags, or simply a big smile. 😊

In the quiet corners of our Home, behind every gentle reminder, every comforting word, and every patient pair of hands, there is a story of commitment that often goes unnoticed. The effort, resilience, and heart of our care staff may not always make it to the spotlight, but their impact is felt every single day.

This Community Care Day 2025, we want to shine a light on the incredible team who keeps our elderly residents safe, supported, and loved. As part of our celebration, we also proudly presented Long Service Awards to staff who have reached 5, 10, and an incredible 20 years of commitment. A special shout-out goes to our long-time driver, who marks an inspiring 20-year milestone! His steady presence, reliability, and care have been a constant source of support for our residents and team!

Last but not least, our heartfelt thanks to the Agency for Integrated Care – AIC Singapore for championing this meaningful initiative. Your continued support strengthens the entire community care sector and inspires us to do better every day.

🌟 Little Feet, Big Smiles! 🌟

Our little volunteers from My Little Gems Preschool brought so much joy to our residents on their outing! The elderly enjoyed the sunshine, lively performances, played games and yummy snacks prepared by them. ☀️🎶🍪

The fun didn’t stop there — back at the Home, our residents received goodie bags and get to bond with the preschoolers more. Joy truly comes in all sizes!

𝐊𝐎𝐏𝐈一杯少糖 (𝐒𝐈𝐄𝐖 𝐃𝐀𝐈/𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐮𝐠𝐚𝐫)! ☕

These are the familiar words you’d hear when ordering coffee at a traditional kopitiam. Inspired by this sense of nostalgia and support from donor, we have launched our BHEH Kopitiam Project — bringing the familiar aroma and warmth of a local coffee shop right into their doorstep! Residents can now enjoy a heartening cup of delicious coffee (and other desired beverages) without having to leave their rooms, reliving the comforting experience of their favourite kopi moments.

Beyond enjoying their drinks, our residents have also taken on exciting new roles as baristas and helpers! Dressed in customised aprons and visors — complete with appointment letters and resident leader badges — they brew, serve kopi and snacks with pride and joy. Before the official launch, our staff and residents even took part in a fun and interactive training session, where they learned the basics of drink preparation and the art of serving with a smile.

Last week, we held our first-ever Open House! We were delighted to showcase our commitment to transforming the ageing experience through a meaningful and engaging tour that embodied our holistic Bright Hill Evergreen Home Model of Care — highlighting our care pillars and efforts in clinical excellence, engagement, and the dignity of care for our residents, to name a few.

Organised as part of the Time of Your Life (TOYL) 2025 programme in collaboration with Singapore University of Social Sciences and National library Board, the event served as a learning journey for visitors to better understand how we create meaningful and engaging experiences for our residents.

A highlight of the day was the performance by our newly formed Evergreen Band! After months of practice, our residents proudly performed five musical pieces using percussion instruments such as shakers, tambourines, and drums. At one point, the audience was even invited to join in for a song and perform alongside the band. The crowd sang along, lifting everyone’s spirits and creating a lively, joyful atmosphere. It took dedication and teamwork to stay in rhythm and in sync — but our residents pulled it off beautifully, and the audience absolutely loved it!

🌟Happy Deepavali!🌟

We had a wonderful celebration filled with vibrant performances and festive joy! Our residents enjoyed delicious Indian food, admired beautiful Rangolis created by our talented care staff, and had fun with sparklers. Both care staff and residents danced to lively Indian songs — it was such a joy to see everyone having fun together! ❤️

What a fantastic way to celebrate and embrace the beauty of different cultures. Special thanks to the KM7 music group for their amazing performance! 🎶
