So if you're having the latter kind of day like I am..
Know that that's perfectly okay.
That knowing when to rest and to take a break is still courage.
For courage is also acknowledging to ourselves...
"We've already done enough".
--
I've had a few really big days this week.
Including one tomorrow and the day after.
And then the day after too.
So I'm taking my time tonight to simply recharge.
Because courage for me isn't always a roar.
Courage is also learning when to stop.
Courage can also be as gentle as taking a really deep breath.
Especially a really deep breath, in and out.
--
There's this really nice park near my house.
A wide open area with lots of messy, untrimmed grass.
But it has this unbroken view of our night skyline.
Which is really why I love going there for a run.
So that's exactly what I did tonight, and now taking time to look at the stars.
But then also taking the time to turn inwards.
To see into myself myself.
To really notice and also acknowledge, that these few days have been tough.
--
And then to pat myself on the back for taking this time out for myself.
For no one else but me and myself only.
A time of peace, rest and recharge.
So that whatever tomorrow might bring, I can embrace what is to come.
Take care,
Hernping
