Itโ€™s the story of ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฐ๐˜‚๐˜€ ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ฑ ๐—”๐—ป๐—ธ๐—ฒ, two individuals on a remarkable fitness journey.

Both originally from Germany, theyโ€™ve been living in Singapore for the past 5 years. Over time, they explored various forms of fitness to stay active and healthy. A few years ago, they added something different to their routineโ€”๐—ฌ๐—ผ๐—ด๐—ฎ.

Weโ€™ve had the privilege of being a part of their journey for the last 3 years as their personalised Yoga Therapist. And what weโ€™ve seen is truly inspiring. The consistency, the discipline, and most of allโ€”๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ ๐˜๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ผ๐—ป.

Yoga has not just improved their flexibility or strengthโ€”๐—ถ๐˜โ€™๐˜€ ๐—ฑ๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐—ฒ๐—ฑ ๐˜๐—ต๐—ฒ๐—ถ๐—ฟ ๐—ผ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น ๐˜€๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ผ๐—ณ ๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—น๐—น๐—ป๐—ฒ๐˜€๐˜€.

Why it is important to practice this daily dose?
โœจDopamine, oxytocin, serotonin, and endorphins are all important neurotransmitters in the body, and each plays a unique role:

โœจ1. Dopamine: Dopamine is often associated with pleasure and reward. It plays a crucial role in motivation, reinforcement, and the experience of pleasure. It is involved in regulating movement, mood, and cognitive function.

โœจ2. Oxytocin: Oxytocin is often referred to as the "love hormone" or "cuddle hormone" because it is released during social bonding and physical affection. It plays a role in promoting trust, empathy, and attachment between individuals. Oxytocin is also involved in childbirth and breastfeeding.

โœจ3. Serotonin: Serotonin is known as the "feel-good" neurotransmitter. It helps regulate mood, appetite, and sleep. Serotonin is also involved in cognitive functions like memory and learning. Imbalances in serotonin levels have been associated with mood disorders like depression and anxiety.

โœจ4. Endorphins: Endorphins are the body's natural painkillers and mood boosters. They are released in response to stress, pain, or physical activity. Endorphins help reduce pain perception, promote feelings of pleasure, and contribute to the "runner's high" experienced during exercise.

Each of these neurotransmitters plays a complex role in the body, and their proper balance is essential for overall well-being and mental health.
