Discipline was never meant to shame, scare, or control.
It was meant to teach.

Teach skills that are still developing.
Teach regulation before reasoning.
Teach safety without causing more hurt.

When behaviour is driven by overwhelm, fear, or unmet needs, punishment doesn’t teach better behaviour — connection and guidance do.

This is what brain-based discipline looks like.
