A big thank you to Dementia Singapore for co-organising the CNY celebration with us! We’re grateful to have spent this meaningful time together with the clients there to achieve our company’s hhc (human health care) mission.

Eisai’s corporate concept is to give first thought to patients and the people in the daily living domain, and increase the benefits that health care provides to them as well as meet diverse healthcare needs worldwide. Eisai calls this the “human health care (hhc)” concept. Eisai believes that in order to realize the hhc concept, it is important for each Eisai employee to first get close to patients and the people in the daily living domain, and see the situation from their perspective in order to learn to empathize with thoughts and feelings that might not necessarily always be expressed in words. Accordingly, the Eisai Group recommends that all of its employees spend 1% of their working hours with patients and the people in the daily living domain. We fulfill our obligation to society by considering the perspectives of patients, and the people in the daily living domain, as well as the global community overall, developing a response to their needs, verifying the social benefits of this response, and finally by making this response available to the world before anyone else. This is the hhc that Eisai aims to realize.

Looking forward to seeing you all again next year!

**A New Year! A Fresh Start to Good Health!**

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Disease Awareness Series 2025 on 19th February, Wesdnesday!

Did you know that colorectal cancer is the second most common type of cancer in Singapore for both men and women? While it is commonly diagnosed in individuals aged 50 and above, there is an increasing incidence among those under the age of 50. Dr Leonard Ho will provide valuable insights about how we can modify lifestyles to minimize risk of colorectal cancer and available screening options.

Dementia can be a confusing topic, as it blurs the line between occasional forgetfulness associated with aging and serious memory loss (one of the early symptoms of dementia). Although age is a risk factor for dementia, it is important to understand dementia is not a normal part of aging. Dementia occurs when brain function deteriorates over time, impacting daily activities. While we can’t completely prevent dementia, leading an active lifestyle can really help lower your risk. Dr Wee Chee Keong will share some great tips on how to keep our brains healthy and vibrant!
