No, it’s not just for baby scans. In physiotherapy, ultrasound is a clever tool we use to help your body heal. Using gentle, high-frequency sound waves, it can:⁣

No, it’s not acupuncture, and we’re not injecting anything either (that’s wet needling).⁣

This week, the Rapha team took our learning out of the clinic and into something a little more… vertical. Big thanks to Moon for hosting us at her pole studio and showing us just how 𝗽𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 this sport really is. Spoiler: it’s no joke.

From bruises to grip strength, insane core control to shoulder stability, it’s a full-body challenge that deserves way more credit than it gets. We were there to understand the 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀 of pole dancing, so we can better support athletes like Moon in both injury recovery and performance.

And yes, some moves looked better in our heads than in the actual videos, but that’s part of the fun. 😂

𝗟𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻, 𝗯𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗼𝗻.🧠💡

What looks like a party hat with a laser pointer is actually a tool for retraining Hafieez’s 𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗸 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹, and no, it’s not just for fun.

After struggling with reduced neck mobility and discomfort, we found that the issue wasn’t just tight muscles, it was 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 of the deep neck stabilisers. That’s where this laser maze comes in.

🔹 The goal? Move the head slowly and precisely to guide the laser through a maze on the screen
🔹 The challenge? No cheating with the shoulders or trunk, just pure cervical control
🔹 The benefit? Improved accuracy, better range, and long-term relief

Motor control training like this helps the brain reconnect with deep stabilisers that often go offline after pain, injury, or stiffness. Something standard stretching alone can’t fix.
