Increasingly, people want to know the difference between a Will and a LPA. We can only use a Will when a person passes on whereas can use the LPA when a person loses the mental capacity. They are made for difference reasons.
If we didn't make LPA and lose our mental capacity, our next-of-kin needs to apply a court order to manage our personal welfare and financial affairs. That costs thousands of dollars and takes easily a few months.
