We have a refreshed play area set up in time for the June holidays, all thanks to our care assistant Kelvin 💕.

Stay well and safe on your travels and do remember to check in at least 2 weeks ahead for your annual flu vaccinations and other travel vaccinations available at our clinic.

We are also able to assist with dispensing travel medications to children registered at our clinic.

While we are an outpatient-based specialist clinic, one of our unique attributes is that we do end-to-end continuity of care arrangements for patients who are sicker and might need inpatient hospital support.

Here are some tips for parents who might need to admit sicker children:

1) Check your insurance coverage and specifications.

Private hospitalizations end up being pricey due to high daily room rates, high cost of drugs and investigations and additional fees such as nursing fees, observation fees etc.

There are also many other hidden costs to consider such as after hour surcharges for investigations performed out of office hours, the cost of consumables such as tissue boxes, diapers, etc.

You don’t want to be caught out paying for a very large bill for seemingly simple hospitalizations.

2) Check if your coverage requires you to be admitted under a specific panel specialist.

If your insurance specifies that you require an admission under a panel specialist to activate your coverage, it would be best to seek attention with the panel specialist or head to a hospital where your panel specialists would accept admissions.

3) It’s easier to find an available bed for admission earlier in the morning than later at night, as there are often hospital discharges at mid-day.

See us early so that some basic treatment can be initiated while we help arrange for a bed, and your child could wait in the convenience of home till they need to turn up to the ward!

The Yellow Fever vaccine can be administered to infants 9 months and above travelling to endemic areas in South America and Africa. This vaccine should be taken at least 10 days prior to planned travel.

We’d like to welcome on board Dr Moira Chia, Consultant Paediatrician from the KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital from the month of December.

Dr Moira is a consultant in general and ambulatory paediatrics with a focus on general paediatric care such as childhood immunisation and developmental assessments, nutrition and growth, and the management of common medical conditions in newborns and young children.

We are grateful as she will run additional appointments in the upcoming months for our patients to cater better to same day call-ins. Appointments with her are also available for booking online.

We look forward to continue to expand our services to serve our patients needs better as we grow.
