因對父親的厭惡,
一直不跟父親說話,
29歲時母親來電話道:
父親想他了,想見他。

他拒絕見父親,兩個星期後回家,
他才得知父親已經過世了。

後來在整理父親遺物的時候,
他發現一個鏽跡斑斑的咖啡桶
他認得 :
那是12歲那年偷的那罐咖啡。

蓋上有父親的字跡:
兒子送的禮物,1964年聖誕節。

裡面還有一封信,上面寫著:
(親愛的兒子,作為一個父親,我很失敗,沒能提供給你優越的生活環境..
但是我也有夢想,最大的夢想就是擁有一間咖啡屋,悠閒地為你們研磨、沖泡香濃的咖啡。
這個願望無法實現了,
