Last month, our regional spine team hosted two back-to-back professional education events in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia: the Lumbar Disc Replacement – Anterior Approach (L-ADR Bioskills Workshop) and the 2nd Artificial Disc Replacement Roundtable Discussion (ADR RTD).

The two programmes brought together 60 surgeons from 7 countries across ASEAN, Europe,and the United States — advancing best practice in motion-preserving spinal surgery through hands-on training, peer-to-peer exchange, and global collaboration.

We extend our gratitude to Dr. Wong Chung Chek (Chairperson) for leading both events and to Dr. Dennis Hey (Co-Chairperson) for guiding the ADR RTD. We were honoured to return as Platinum Sponsor at the Refractive Surgery Society of the Philippines Annual Meeting on 31 August 2025 at St. Luke’s Medical Center – BGC Auditorium, where nearly 200 ophthalmologists came together for a full day of clinical updates, case discussions, and technology showcases.

On August 16, Transmedic Philippines successfully hosted the first Surface Guided Radiation Therapy (SGRT) symposium, “Understanding SGRT: A New Standard in Precision Radiotherapy”, at Marco Polo Hotel, Ortigas. This pioneering event marked an important step in raising awareness of SGRT in the Philippines.

In partnership with C-Rad, the event brought together radiation oncologists, medical physicists, and radiation therapists to explore how SGRT is redefining radiotherapy from enhancing accuracy, safety, and patient comfort to establishing its role as a future standard in precision therapy.

On 30 July, Transmedic proudly participated in the Musyawarah Nasional VIII Perhimpunan Dokter Transfusi Darah, also known as the 8th PDTDI National Congress, held at the Shangri-La Hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. As the country’s largest blood transfusion event, the congress served as a key platform for collaboration, innovation, and policy discussion in the field of transfusion medicine.

Held under the theme “Collaboration in Blood Services for Global Health,” the event gathered over 350 participants, including experts, healthcare practitioners, donor organizations, and international representatives from the World Health Organisation, Indonesia's Ministry of Health, and Blood Centers across Malaysia, Japan, and Singapore.

Together with our partners Haemonetics, Applied Science, and WEGO MEDICAL INTERNATIONAL CO.,LTD, our Blood Bank team showcased a full suite of solutions—including apheresis systems, blood collection devices, and automated processing and storage technologies. These innovations are designed to help elevate the safety, efficiency, and reliability of blood services across Indonesia and the region.

We are honoured to have concluded our first-ever Conduction System Pacing (CSP) Workshop in Singapore on 5 August 2025, hosted at Changi General Hospital and featuring Boston Scientific’s SSPC tools.


Led by esteemed instructors A/Prof Vern Hsen Tan and A/Prof Colin Yeo, the programme delivered both clinical depth and practical value — combining theoretical sessions with three live implant cases, as well as wet and dry lab simulations for hands-on learning.


We were also pleased to welcome regional key opinion leaders from Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia, reflecting our shared commitment to elevating CSP standards across Southeast Asia.

Leading the way in orthopaedic innovation, the Transmedic Orthopaedic team in Indonesia was honoured to be the Platinum Sponsor of the Orthopaedic Concurrent Meeting (OCM) 2025, held from 16–19 July at the Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta.

Bringing together three subspecialties — IOSSA (Spine), IOTS (Trauma) and IOPIS (Pain Intervention) — OCM provided the perfect platform for us to showcase an integrated portfolio of spine and trauma solutions from DePuy Synthes, Biocomposite, TeDan, Centinel Spine, Silony Medical, and Sanyou Medical.
