October was an exciting month for our Transmedic Sports Medicine team in Malaysia — from participating at MAS 2025 to organising the Foot & Ankle Silent Mentor Workshop, where surgeons came together to share knowledge and advance their skills in foot and ankle surgery.

From arthroscopy to minimally invasive surgery, the team brought together surgeons for two days of hands-on cadaveric training at Xiao En Centre, Malaysia.

The workshop covered key arthroscopic and minimally invasive surgery (MIS) techniques — from ankle arthroscopy to bunionectomy and syndesmosis fixation — showcasing the precision and innovation of Arthrex’s advanced systems.

We extend our appreciation to Dr. Chua Yeok Pin, Dr. Peter Lam, Dr. Yeap Ewe Juan, Dr. Theenesh, and all participating surgeons for their valuable contributions to this successful event.

Transforming observation into everyday learnings — Our Philippines Orthopaedics team, together with MicroPort Orthopaedics, recently organised a SuperPath Surgical Observation Visit (SOV) at Sante Hospital in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, led by Dr Tang Ha Nam Anh, a world-renowned orthopaedic surgeon recognised for his expertise in the SuperPATH hip replacement technique.

Over three intensive days, attending surgeons — Dr John Hermosisima, Dr Jim Bryan Pantas, and Dr Vincent Gonzales — observed and assisted in a series of consecutive hip and knee replacement procedures using MicroPort Orthopaedics implants. The programme offered valuable hands-on learning and knowledge exchange among surgeons experienced in performing the SuperPATH technique in the Philippines.

By facilitating this international learning exchange, our team continues to advance Transmedic’s commitment to clinical education and collaboration, empowering surgeons with the knowledge and experience to translate learnings into improved surgical practice and patient outcomes.

We extend our appreciation to MicroPort Orthopaedics and Dr Tang Ha Nam Anh for their partnership and support in making this programme a success.

At the forefront of orthopaedic innovation, our Singapore Orthobiologics team was honoured to showcase the latest advancements in orthobiologic technologies at the 47th Annual Scientific Meeting of the Singapore Orthopaedic Association (SOA) and the 10th Meeting of the Asian Federation of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (AFFAS) — key regional platforms driving collaboration and clinical excellence in orthopaedics.

Over three days, orthopaedic surgeons, residents, and subspecialists came together to exchange insights and best practices in orthopaedics. We are grateful to all delegates for engaging with our team and sharing valuable perspectives throughout the event.

For this year’s team bonding day, our Transmedic Singapore team stepped away from the routine for an Amazing Race–style challenge — travelling across the city, completing activities, solving clues, and earning points along the way.

It was a day of laughter, camaraderie, and teamwork — a reminder that our best results happen when we move forward together.

A first for the Philippines — and a new era in paediatric eye care!

Our Transmedic Ophthalmology team is proud to partner with National Children’s Hospital for the first installation of the RetCam® Envision Ophthalmic Imaging System in the Philippines.

This installation represents a step forward in advancing retinopathy of prematurity (ROP) screening and training nationwide—delivering sharper imaging, standardised workflows, and a central hub for clinical education.

We would like to thank Dr Claire Barja, Chair of the Department of Ophthalmology, and Dr Beltran Alexis Aclan, MD, MHCM, Paediatric Ophthalmology, for their partnership in advancing paediatric eye care through the adoption of RetCam technology. We look forward to continued collaboration in improving eye outcomes for children across the Philippines.

Leading, learning, and innovating in cardiac care at Changi General Hospital, Singapore.

We are proud to mark a significant milestone — the 100th S-ICD implant at Changi General Hospital — charting an exceptional journey from the first-generation 1010 system, through the A209, to today’s advanced A219.

This achievement coincided with the 12th S-ICD Case Observation and Cadaveric Training Workshop, held on October 7–8, 2025, at Changi General Hospital, the Centre of Excellence for S-ICD in Singapore. To date, more than 50 physicians across ASEAN have been trained, strengthening clinical expertise and advancing the field of electrophysiology in the region.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners Boston Scientific and GE Healthcare, and to our dedicated faculty — Dr. Tan Vern Hsen, Dr. Colin Yeo, Sister Him Ai Ling, Sister Sasi, and the Changi General Hospital Catheterization Laboratory team — for their continued commitment to education, innovation, and collaboration in cardiac care.

Building confident marketers for a digital-first future — our Transmedic marketing team joined peers from across EBOS MedTech — including LifeHealthcare, Australian Biotechnologies, and Cryomed Aesthetics — for the second edition of the Marketing Development Program (MDC).

The MDC is a year-long journey that strengthens marketing leadership and embeds digital-first thinking across the business. During this year’s in-person session, teams came together for two days of immersive learning and strategic discussions on how digital strategies and AI can unlock creativity, enhance collaboration, and influence outcomes across our MedTech network.

Ongoing quarterly check-ins and monthly learning sessions will continue to build on these learnings throughout the year.

A special thank-you to guest speakers, Don O’Sullivan and Ujwal Kayande for leading such engaging sessions, and to our colleagues across EBOS MedTech for organizing and bringing this impactful program to life.
