Colore**al cancer is the most common cancer in Singapore, with the number of colore**al cancer cases steadily increasing in both men and women.

Over the weekend, Dr. Sim Hsien Lin spoke to the senior community residents of Hougang at Hougang Community Club (CC) to highlight the importance of early screening and detection to reduce oneโ€™s risk of colore**al cancer.

Organised by Hougang CC and supported by Singapore Cancer Society (SCS), this Mandarin talk sought to engage the residents and promote primary screening via the distribution of Faecal Immunochemical Test (FIT) kits, which is a preliminary test that detects the presence of small amounts of blood in faeces, a possible symptom of Colore**al Disease.
