𝟓𝟓 𝐰𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧. 𝟏 𝐢𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. 💬💪

On 17 July, Dr Lee Wai Yen from Foundation Women's Centre (Katong) spoke to over 55 women from ENGIE’s Women’s Empowerment Network (WEN) in a lunchtime session on cervical cancer screening and prevention.

Dr Lee shared practical advice on overcoming the fear of Pap smears, understanding abnormal symptoms, and why early detection is key. It was an engaging hybrid session attended by women from diverse backgrounds — all coming together to prioritise their health and well-being.

Thank you to ENGIE and WEN for creating a safe space for learning, sharing, and empowerment.

Here are 5 essential things you can do to support your pregnant partner on this beautiful journey:

1️⃣ Show Love and Affection: Shower her with love, hugs, and kind words. Your support and reassurance are vital in making her feel cherished and secure.

2️⃣ Be Her Rock: Pregnancy comes with emotional ups and downs. Be her listening ear, her shoulder to lean on, and her constant source of strength. Your understanding and empathy mean the world to her.

3️⃣ Attend Appointments Together: Be present for prenatal check-ups and ultrasounds. Witnessing the growth of your little one strengthens the bond between you and your partner, while also providing important information about her health.

4️⃣ Help with Household Tasks: Take initiative in sharing the household chores and responsibilities. Ease her physical strain by offering a helping hand and creating a peaceful environment where she can relax and focus on self-care.

5️⃣ Celebrate Milestones: Embrace every milestone together! From the first fluttering kicks to the baby showers, make lasting memories. Capture these precious moments and create a beautiful keepsake of this extraordinary time.

By doing these 5 things, you will provide the love, care, and support your mom-to-be deserves. Together, let's make this journey unforgettable! ❤️👨‍👩‍👧
