A cough lasting more than three weeks may be more than just a cold! Tuberculosis (TB) is a serious but treatable and curable infection when detected early, and knowing the warning signs can make all the difference. 🫁

Watch out for symptoms such as a cough lasting more than three weeks, fever or night sweats, unexplained weight loss, or coughing up blood. Seek medical attention early if you notice these signs. Stay active, eat well, and get enough rest to help protect yourself and your loved ones.

As we commemorate World Tuberculosis (TB) Day, let’s work together to end this disease, one healthy step at a time!

It’s World Dentists’ Day and Dental Assistants Recognition Week. ✨🦷

To celebrate this week, we invited 3 colleagues from Eunos Polyclinic for a game of ‘Guess the Imposter’!👀

As the questions progressed in difficulty, they put their dental knowledge to the test. Here’s the twist: 2 of them are from our dental team, while 1 comes from a different department!

Can you tell who’s the dentist, dental assistant, and who stepped out of her usual role for this challenge?

Share your guesses in the comments and let us know if you got it right.

Home blood pressure (HBP) is an important parameter that guides clinicians in managing hypertension in patients. However, in using these records to manage patients, physicians face challenges, particularly regarding access, integration, and interpretation of the records when making clinical decisions.

Researchers from SingHealth Polyclinicsand Duke-NUS Medical School conducted a study, which aimed to summarise existing studies on clinical decision support systems (CDSSs) that use HBP readings to manage patients with hypertension.

They concluded that while CDSSs hold promise for improving hypertension management, gaps remain in their development and implementation. Future efforts should focus on integrating robust frameworks, aligning systems with clinical guidelines, enhancing data integration processes, and addressing usability to maximise effectiveness, adoption, and user satisfaction.
