🌟𝗠𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵t🌟

CoNEX Healthcare has developed PreSAGE, an advanced inpatient monitoring system leveraging thermography and proprietary machine learning models to analyse bedside environments and ward activities.

In 2024, the company experienced a breakthrough year, with deployments doubling compared to 2023, reflecting exponential growth. This success underscores CoNEX Healthcare’s collaborative approach, which has fostered strong partnerships and driven the scaled-up adoption of PreSAGE.

The company also successfully closed an investment round co-led by elev8.vc and SEEDS Capital, securing resources to support its international expansion. While entering new markets remains a significant challenge, PreSAGE’s co-development with Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) lends credibility that helps open doors globally.

CoNEX Healthcare is working toward sustained growth and scaling its operations beyond Singapore, targeting the Thailand and Hong Kong markets through its distributors. This marks a new phase for the company as it navigates diverse geographies, cultures, and healthcare ecosystems.

On the last day of Chinese New Year, we are happy to share the delightful celebration we’ve had at co11ab as we welcome the year of the Snake! 🐍

We started the event with a delicious lunch, followed by a “speed dating” session where our members had a chance to meet some of the members from the Industry Advisory Panel. The celebration ended on a high note with a vibrant tossing of Yu Sheng.

Health BETA has successfully developed the Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) AI model, a tool designed for CAD risk prediction. Notably, this is the first CAD risk assessment tailored specifically for Asian populations, utilising a comprehensive Asian genetic database.

In December 2024, Health Beta completed the inaugural NUS Medicine Digital Venture Acceleration Program. As part of this milestone, it also secured venture capital funding from a US-based investor.

A key challenge for Health BETA lies in expanding beyond the Southeast Asia region. This expansion requires product localisation to meet the specific regulatory, cultural, and clinical needs of different regions.

Health BETA plans to launch its first product by 2025: a CAD risk assessment tool tailored for cardiologists, specifically designed for Asian ethnicities.

There is no right time to enter global markets and every territory has its advantages supported by its ecosystem players and policies. In this seminar, we invited Chuan Seng TAN (Centre Director, A*STAR Partner's Centre), Colin TAN (Investment Director, Coronet Ventures) and Kim Demeyer (Science and Technology Counsellor, Flanders Investment & Trade) to share insights about China, U.S. and Belgium markets.

Takeaways: You don’t have to know everything inside-out but at least have a clear go-to-market strategy which investors are concern. Bear in mind of your end goal and that will be your North Star, guiding your decisions which market to consider and make meaning connections. If you don’t know where to begin, partners like A*STAR Partners' Centre (A*PC) and Flanders Investment & Trade (FIT) are good starting points where they have various programmes and connections to help startups land overseas smoothly.
