Beautiful, incredible Scotland

Eilean Donan Castle, built on a tiny tidal island at the confluence of 3 lochs.

Explanations:
A tidal island is an island that is accessible by foot at low tide, but becomes an island at high tide. In this particular case, though, there is a stone bridge connecting the island to the mainland.

A loch is a sort of inland sea. It brings in water from the sea and looks like a lake.

Parrots - Green or White

Green parrots with red beaks (pix 1 & 2) remind me always of my childhood in Delhi. In our garden, we had a tree that bore really small but delicious guavas. The parrots loved these timy guavas as much as I did, so I struggled to find a few whole guavas before the parrots got yo them! It was a small tree and easy to climb - the only challenge was to get there before the guavas!

Every evening the parrots would fly away from our garden in formation! A sight to behold.

These pix were taken a few years ago in Delhi, though if course not in that garden if my childhood!

Now, living in Singapore, I see only white parrots (pix 3 and 4). Equally beautiful, but in a completely different way.

Travel Memories - Nepal

Such a beautiful country. I have had the pleasure of several trips there, both and holiday and for work.

But even work trips offer lovely sights! These 3 photos are all from work trips. I sighted the monkeys (photo 1) when I had a few hours off from work and decided to visit Swayambunath in Kathmandu.

Photo 2 (sunrise) is also from Kathmandu, taken from my hitel room.

Photo 3 was captured while walking to a site visit somewhere in the hills.
