πΏ An Emotional Story Behind Our Campaign
Every visit to the cemetery carries a story.
A memory.
A quiet moment of love for someone who is no longer here.
Over the years at Choa Chu Kang Cemetery, weβve seen people walking long distances under the scorching sun β elderly grandparents leaning on canes, daughters carrying flowers and joss items, families trying their best to stay strong as they search for their loved onesβ resting places.
Some walk in silence.
Some walk with tears.
Some walk because they simply have no transport.
Back in 2021, Iβve tried to make those moments a little easier. When I see someone struggling or lost, I would stop his work, offer them a seat on his buggy, and bring them wherever they needed to go. It was never about money. It was never about obligation.
It was just one human being helping another in a place filled with emotions.
When the buggy was no longer approved, the rides had to stop β but the wish to help never faded.
Today, iβm hoping to bring that comfort back.
This time, properly and safely β through a FREE community shuttle service within the cemetery using a 6β12 seater van.
To stay transparent and responsible, R8 Services will cover 50% of the van cost + all fuel and maintenance, and weβre inviting the community to help raise the remaining 50%.
This shuttle will always remain free inside the cemetery, because no one should struggle to visit the person they love.
Our goal is to raise $10,000 by the end of 2025.
Your support β whether a donation or a simple share β helps us bring comfort to people on one of the most emotional journeys of their lives. It helps an elderly visitor walk less. It helps a family find their way. It helps someone honour a memory with peace instead of stress.
If this touches your heart, we would be so grateful for your support. π
Together, we can make every visit a gentler one.
