In the spirit of International Women’s Day, we’re also highlighting the women who equip others with the skills to help
At the Singapore Red Cross Academy (SRCA), preparedness begins with people who are willing to share their knowledge, time and experience so that others can step forward with confidence
🩷 Michelle Seah started her journey as a youth volunteer. Today, as a Senior Instructor at SRCA, she trains individuals of all ages in practical first aid and life-saving skills, helping more people gain the confidence to respond when it matters most
🩷 Durga Naidu, who leads the Centre for Psychosocial Resilience and Humanitarian Studies, champions the importance of psychosocial preparedness. Through education and training, she helps individuals and organisations better understand how to support people facing stress, trauma and crisis
Together, they represent the many women at the Singapore Red Cross Academy who work behind the scenes to strengthen community readiness and resilience, and to advance conversations on how psychosocial safety can stand alongside physical safety.
We’re proud to see Michelle and Durga featured in World of Safety & Health Asia, contributing to these ongoing discussions
