We have Alicia Teng today! Alicia started her career as a physiotherapist in year 2013. She specialises in treating patients with vestibular problems and paediatric patients with torticollis, CTEV and developmental delays. Besides these, she also has experience in several other areas such as stroke rehabilitation, musculoskeletal pain management, cardiopulmonary and women's health. We have Huang Baoxian today! Baoxian started her career as a physiotherapist in year 2013. She is an experienced physiotherapist in pain management and ergonomic review for cases such as low back pain, shoulder pain, and so on. She also has experience in managing neurological cases like stroke, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson's Disease. She is also trained in Neuro-Developmental Therapy (NDT) in managing adults with cerebral vascular accident (CVA). Baoxian will share more about herself in this video.

The 2nd episode of balance training with Singapore National Stroke Association

Come and join us for a basic standing balance training for Stroke Survivors by Mr Gan Jing Tap, Founder of The Rehab Studio Pte. Ltd on Weds 12 Jan from 7pm to 8pm.

This is second of 6 sessions of balance training which aims to promote visible improvement in balancing, through a variety of balance exercises guided by the physiotherapist. In this session, we are keeping it simple with basic balance training.

*Suitable for stroke survivors who are able to 1) follow 2-step instruction, 2) able to stand with 2 hands support for 30 seconds.

Elly has a strong passion for healing and helping others through sports massage, rehabilitation exercises. She holds a Diploma in Sports and Exercise Science from United States Sports Academy and has certification in Basic and Advanced Sports Massage.

Having experienced chronic injuries herself, she understands the importance of rehabilitation and always strives to educate her clients on the issues that they are facing. Her clientele varies from avid gym-goers, housewives, and office workers.

Mr Gan holds an Honours Degree in Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from Trinity College of Dublin.

He has 8 years of experience in various settings including in-patient, out-patient and home rehabilitation.

He is a certified physiotherapist in treating adults with stroke and brain injury. He also has a special interest in pain management for musculoskeletal and sports rehabilitation cases. He does Thai boxing, beach volleyball and gym regularly. Hence, he is able to appreciate and relate most of the sports injuries and provide a useful rehabilitation program.

He is also a trained and certified educator for Physiotherapy student from the Singapore Institute of Technology.
