A peek at last week’s Staff Appreciation Night. Like a tapestry, each of our staff is a vital thread, uniquely strong yet beautifully connected, coming together to support our patients’ healing journeys. Thank you team AMKH, for walking alongside our patients through their recovery in 2025. We are proud of the sincere care you provided to every patient, and this night was dedicated to you!

🌙✨ Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri ✨🌙

The spirit of Hari Raya found its way into our wards and onto our patients’ plates.

Inspired by flavours from her hometown, chef Victoria thoughtfully prepared festive meals for our patients. These familiar spices and recipes bring smiles and comfort to our patients who are away from home this festive season, reminding them that they are not alone.

Because care is not just in what we do, but how we make people feel.

Wishing everyone a healthy and joyful Hari Raya filled with love, connection, and good food shared with loved ones.

Not every patient can join group activities outside of their wards. Some of our patients are less ambulant, which means they spend most of their time confined to their beds. That is why bedside activities are an important part of how we care.

When a volunteer guitar group visited last week, the music travelled from bed to bed through our wards, bringing smiles, conversations and connection. Patients in this ward requested for many encores of this song! For less ambulant patients, these visits make a meaningful difference.

Care means making sure no one is left out. These bedside activities mean we can include bring joy and care to our patients and engage them meaningfully wherever they are in their recovery journey.

If you or your organisation would like to volunteer with us, we would love to hear from you.

Together, we can bring care closer to every patient. 🤝🎵

Care is wanting your loved ones to live as well as they can, with dignity and independence in their daily lives. Rehabilitation supports this by helping individuals regain strength, function and confidence to carry out everyday activities with greater ease.

At Ang Mo Kio - Thye Hua Kwan Hospital, our multidisciplinary care team of doctors, nurses, therapists and social workers support patients’ rehabilitation to help them return home and to the activities that matter most in their lives.

If you or a loved one are experiencing difficulties with daily activities, consider speaking with your family physician. They can assess your needs and advise whether rehabilitation may support living well and independently. 💙

To our volunteers: thank you for choosing to spend your time bringing warmth to our patients and their families. A day of appreciating you is not enough for all that you have done.

2025 saw many initiatives, new and current. All of which brought smiles to our patients and their families, to let them know that they are not alone. We could not have done so much without all of you.

2026 is an exciting year with even more initiatives and programmes coming up! To those thinking of giving back: there’s a place for you here.
