Designed by Deniz Karasahin, this 3D-printed cast could speed up healing while making you look cool. The cast can be hooked up to an ultrasound machine that promises to reduce the time it takes for a broken bone to mend. The Beach and Howe project in Vancouver comes as a new twist to sustainability: a 'twisted' building starting with a triangular base from the ground morphs into a rectangular shape as it rises to the sky!
The idea is to reclaim wasted space in the urban landscape, enhance the aesthetics and reduce the per capita greenhouse gas emissions in big cities.

SolSource by One Earth Design is a cooker that harnesses the energy of the sun for outdoor cooking.
It can heat up a cattle of water in 10 mins.

Catlin Power, while studying climate change, met a local Chinese family who invited her into their home. They asked her why all these scientists came to study outdoor pollution, when indoor pollution was so much worse. Measuring the indoor air, she found that it was ten times more polluted than Beijing. Turns out that each year more than half a million people were dying in China from toxic smoke coming from their stoves, and worldwide the death toll was around 4 million.

One Earth Design works with local governments and/or external funders to offer subsidies, as well as introducing financial incentives such as installments or rental model to enable people in need to purchase SolSource.
