We are proud to launch Illuminate 灯暖人心! ✨

Through this campaign, we hope to bring warmth, dignity, and meaning to TTSH patients on their journey home and those in the final chapter of life.

🌟 What’s Happening:

Mid Sep – Mid Oct: Stroll along the skybridge connecting TTSH and Square 2, where up to 300 beautifully crafted lanterns will light the way. Each lantern carries a personal story and heartfelt wish from our patients and volunteers.

15 Oct: In conjunction with World Hospice & Palliative Care (WHPC) Day 2025, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of end-of-life and palliative care in our community.

💡 Last Sunday, our patients and volunteers came together for a lantern painting session. Each creation held a personal story and heartfelt wish — quiet reminders of the strength of those we care for, and the compassion that guides every act of service.

For more than 10 years, Mr Mohamda (Ross) was a frequent patient at Tan Tock Seng Hospital. His respiratory condition was deteriorating, which made him unable to work and walk independently. At night, he had breathing difficulties and couldn't sleep properly.

Thanks to the generosity of donors supporting our IWANTOGOHOME (IWGH) Fund, Mr Mohamda received financial assistance for a CPAP breathing machine to help him breathe more easily. He was also supported with a mobility scooter.

Today, Mr Mohamda is able to sleep soundly and focus better during the day. He can also leave his house to visit his relatives and friends nearby.

From a young age, William has lived with muscular dystrophy, a condition that gradually weakens his muscles. By 15, he began relying on a wheelchair, and daily life was especially challenging as he lived in a third-floor flat without lift access.

In December 2019, William developed pneumonia and was rushed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital. After 2.5 months in hospital, he was discharged early due to the Covid-19 outbreak.

With support from TTSH Community Fund donors, William received the essential medical equipment he needed to discharge. These equipment help him breath more easily at home and live with greater comfort and dignity.

TTSH Community Fund

In keeping with Mr Tan Tock Seng’s Legacy of Giving, Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) set up its Charity arm, TTSH Community Fund, 25 years ago to improve the quality of life of our patients and the community. Today, our Charity disburses more than $2 million each year to support over 2,500 needy patient cases, especially the elderly. From expensive non-standard medication to breathing equipment to mobility aids to dentures, TTSH Community Fund helps needy patients gain greater independence, improve their quality of life and integrate back into the community. Our Charity also supports healthcare research, innovation, and training for our staff and the community to deliver better patient care. Our Charity runs entirely on public donations. Every dollar to our Charity goes directly to support our activities. The TTSH Community Fund is a registered charity with IPC status.
