Together with Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations volunteers, our patients poured hope and resilience into every brushstroke as they painted the lanterns. Now glowing along the TTSH skybridge to Novena Square 2, they shine as a reminder that no one walks their journey alone.

On September 14, Mr Tan Kiat How, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of Digital Development and Information & Ministry of Health, visited Tan Tock Seng Hospital to see the "Mid-Autumn Together: Lanterns of Warmth" Lantern Lighting Ceremony. You can catch these beautiful lanterns on the link bridge connecting TTSH and Novena Square 2.

Each lantern, lovingly painted by about 20 patients and their families, TTSH staff, and volunteers from the Singapore Federation of Chinese Clan Associations (SFCCA), carries stories of hope, resilience, and care. Together, they brighten the walkway with colour and meaning, symbolising the love and strength that connect patients, families, and the community.

These lanterns will be displayed till 19 October.

Just as these lanterns illuminate the walkway, they also shine with hope for our patients at TTSH. Through our Illuminate fundraising campaign, we hope to bring warmth, dignity, and meaning to TTSH patients on their way home and those in the final journey of life.

During our lantern painting session, one of the medical students sent her best wishes to our patients by combining her creativity and artistic talents on a lantern!

From mid September onwards, up to 300 lanterns will be put up to illuminate the skybridge connecting TTSH and Square 2. Each lantern symbolises the healing bond between patient and art, guiding the way with messages of love and solidarity.

Through this initiative, we hope to bring awareness of the importance of support for our patients. Your gift will bring comfort, dignity, and peace to those who need it most.

We are proud to launch Illuminate 灯暖人心! ✨

Through this campaign, we hope to bring warmth, dignity, and meaning to TTSH patients on their journey home and those in the final chapter of life.

🌟 What’s Happening:

Mid Sep – Mid Oct: Stroll along the skybridge connecting TTSH and Square 2, where up to 300 beautifully crafted lanterns will light the way. Each lantern carries a personal story and heartfelt wish from our patients and volunteers.

15 Oct: In conjunction with World Hospice & Palliative Care (WHPC) Day 2025, we aim to raise awareness of the importance of end-of-life and palliative care in our community.

💡 Last Sunday, our patients and volunteers came together for a lantern painting session. Each creation held a personal story and heartfelt wish — quiet reminders of the strength of those we care for, and the compassion that guides every act of service.

This coming Wednesday, support a meaningful cause at our Teachers’ Day Bazaar, organised by the dedicated volunteers of TTSH’s Hospital Diversional Therapy Unit (DTU)!

From uniquely crafted bags and pouches to colourful quilt art, crochet toys, and traditional crafts, each item is lovingly handmade by our volunteers. Every purchase helps support needy patients at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.
