1. Outdoors, barefoot and dirt is good! The microbiomes and exposure to dirt actually strengthens and protects them from germs.
2. We provide a platter of nutrient dense foods on repeat so even if they don’t eat it the first time, they know what a healthy meal can look like. This eventually pays off and all of them have their own selections of foods that they enjoy and that are actually good for them!
3. We weren’t always nailing this but we now know how much adequate sleep heals them. I teach them that sleep is medicine and the older ones know how to tuck themselves in, when they’re feeling under the weather.
4. I take care of myself and they see me do it. This is a virtuous cycle that allows me to live with energy, as well as show them how it can be done.
5. Knowing what to focus on also means occasionally we don’t have to live with food anxiety or fear!
There are only a few food rules, and we provide you templates, menu plans, pantry lists so that you can automate your family’s health and nutrition.
