Doctor Profile
Dr. Michael J. Kim (김지효) is a medical doctor and the Medical Director of Aeon Medical and Aesthetic Centre. He comes from a family of medical practitioners and is known for his holistic and professional approach to patients stemming from his extensive training and experience in both surgery and family medicine. He graduated from the prestigious Seoul National University College of Medicine in 2000.
His diverse life experiences from living in the USA, South Korea and now Singapore allows him the understanding and balance of East and West when caring and treating patients from all backgrounds and ethnicities. Practicing medicine not only in the heartlands of Singapore but also at Tan Tock Seng Hospital Health Enrichment Center has aided him in tapping into the “heart” of Singaporeans and expats alike, enabling him to adjust and understand the local/ international culture and medical needs.
Dr. Michael Kim is a Korean doctor with full medical licenses in both South Korea and Singapore and officially registered “Family Physician” with the Singapore Medical Council (SMC) and Singapore Ministry of Health (MOH).
He has acquired Certificate of Competence Courses in Aesthetic Medicine by the Dermatological Society of Singapore (DSS), Singapore National Skin Center (NSC) and Singapore Aesthetic Dermatology Educational Group (ADEG). Dr. Kim is also a Certified Member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Medicine (AAAM), International Academy of Cosmetic Dermatology, Society of Aesthetic Medicine (SAM) of Singapore, College of Family Physicians Singapore (CFPS) and the Singapore Medical Association (SMA).
He has been trained at some of Seoul’s best established dermatological clinics located in Chungdam-Dong (“beauty belt” of the now well-known Gangnam District) such as M (엠) Dermatology Clinic, Mizaine (미자인) Clinic, the 3.0 (더 3.0) Dermatology Clinic and Misogain (미소가인) Dermatology Clinic.
Dr. Michael Kim has a keen interest and focus on non-invasive aesthetic procedures for facial rejuvenation and enhancement to ensure clinical results with patient safety and lifestyle satisfaction so patients may continue with their everyday activities with very minimal or even no “downtime”.
