Stop putting coconut oil on your fresh sunburns
Many people wonder whether using coconut oil is truly helpful for sunburns, but timing is important. Coconut oil can soothe the skin only after the active burn has settled. If it is applied immediately after a fresh sunburn, it may trap heat and prolong inflammation, which can make things worse.
So even though coconut oil is commonly used in skincare and is often considered good for skin, it is not the right first step when the skin is actively burning.
For proper face protection, prevention always works better. Remember to reapply sunscreen regularly, consider oral sun protection, wear UV protective clothing, and limit long hours under strong sunlight.
These habits protect the skin far more effectively than relying on coconut oil alone.
