At the Singapore-China Business Roundtable hosted by His Excellency Mr Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry, Singapore, and His Excellency Mr Li Qiang, Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, our Executive Chairman Dr Loo Choon Yong shared about Raffles Medical Group’s business footprint and partnerships in China.

Raffles Medical Group began its presence in China in 1995 with its first overseas clinic in Hong Kong. Today, the Group operates hospitals in Beijing, Shanghai, and Chongqing, along with medical practices in Nanjing, Tianjin, Dalian, and Hong Kong, and collaborates with The First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and Renji Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Dr Loo shared his hope to broaden existing collaborations and expand investments in China, and looked forward to more exchanges between the two countries.

This month’s theme focused on accountability, an essential part of how we deliver care with empathy. Dr Kenneth Wu, Managing Director of Singapore Healthcare, Raffles Medical Group, led the session and highlighted two guiding principles that underpin our service - being respectful and compassionate in every interaction, and providing accountable and reliable care throughout the patient journey.
