⚠️ Being slim doesn’t always mean being healthy.
A new study on Singaporean women shows that many fall into the “skinny-fat” category:
Low muscle mass
High body fat
Normal BMI
Here’s why that’s a problem ⬇️
🦴 Weaker bones: Higher risk of fractures & early osteoporosis
🩸 Higher body fat: Greater risk of diabetes & heart disease
⚡ Less muscle: Lower energy, slower metabolism, and less strength
The scary part? These risks usually show up later in life but “skinny-fat” means they’re happening earlier than expected.
💡 The good news is that it’s never too early to protect yourself with strength training, balanced nutrition, and smarter health checks beyond BMI.
