Our Story
Dr Shenthilkumar Naidu (or Dr Shens) is a Ministry of Health accredited Consultant Plastic Surgeon. He graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1998. Upon completion of basic surgical training, he became a Fellow Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2002.
It was during his basic surgical training that he first exposed to the fascinating specialty of plastic surgery. He entered the specialty training program in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the National University Hospital. He was also awarded the Health Manpower Development Programme Scholarship to further his training in plastic surgery and the subspecialty of Reconstructive and Aesthetic at the Hanyang University Hospital located in Korea. Dr Shens acquired many Korean surgical techniques unique to enhance the beauty of the individual. He adapted his learning and further modified to higher precision surgical skills for our local requirements.
Upon successful completion and his returned to Singapore, Dr Shenthilkumar was recognized by the Registry of specialists for Plastic Surgery, Singapore. He was appointed as Consultant Plastic Surgeon in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and went on to private practice after several years of service to the government. Dr Shens maintains his ties with the public healthcare sector as a visiting consultant to TTSH, Gleneagles Hospital and Mount Elizabeth Hospital. To support arising Singapore Plastic Surgeon graduates; he has been appointed as a clinical teacher at the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore to share his Plastic Surgery knowledge.
Dr Shens was also awarded the prestigious National Medical Research Council grant for his research in 2005 and he won the young investigator’s award in the Singapore Malaysia Congress. These have been presented at international medical conferences and published in high impact peer-reviewed journals such as Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Journal of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
Dr Shenthilkumar’s main clinical interests are cosmetic surgery of the face and body. Particularly to body contouring and the specialist surgeon for "Mummy Makeover” treatments, he attended an International Plastic Surgeons Exchange Programme in Columbia to upgrade his Vaser Liposuction to a High Definition 4D Vaser Liposuction for body contouring. The instruments and technology is now available in Singapore with Dr Shens. Short scar tummy tuck with a very concealed scar is now possible with his medical instruments.
Dr Shens’ signature services include; Korean-Style Double Eyelid Creation (Double Suture Twisted technique-DST), Korean Technique-Scarless Eyebag Removal, Short Incision Breast Augmentation (SIBA), 4D Micro-Nano Fat Grafting, Columbia 4D High Definition Vaser Liposuction and Fat Transfer, Short Scar Tummy Tuck and SHENKO 4G Nose Thread Lifting. His surgeries are tailored to fit all individuals to suit the asian and caucasian profile.
He has one of the largest series on double eyelid creation in Singapore and he was invited to speak on this topic in various regional and international conferences. He is well-liked by many female patients for his Short Incisional Breast Augmentation (SIBA). In late 2016, selectively handpicked by the distributor of Motiva Breast Implants, Dr Shens was the first plastic surgeon to use Motiva products in Singapore. Motiva breast implants being one of the premium grade gel to breast augmentation is arising popular in Europe and Korea due to its soft material and anatomical shape. Shens Clinic was also the first Plastic Surgery Clinic to combine Motiva Imagine Centre in his Ministry of Health accredited Day Surgery Centre. Patients can now preview in 4-Dimensional view of their before and after look prior to embarking their change in body. Plastic surgery with a natural look is now possible in the hands of Dr Shens.
