This morning after dropping 3rd born off, we witnessed a lady got hit by a motorcycle right in front of our eyes.
She dashed across the road where the green traffic light was in our favour.
Our car was beside a private bus, thus neither we nor the motorcyclist could have anticipated her as she came out of nowhere !
The motorcyclist banged into her. They both got hit hard and ended up laying on the road. The lady however stood up immediately, picked up her belongings looking dazed and perhaps in pain but in so much embarrassment.
Another motorcyclist stopped to assist them both to the side of the road. And so we drove off. Unfortunately we were late to pick up someone.
As we calmed down and recapped what we just saw, we couldn’t help feeling grateful that much earlier at the road, hubby decided to give way to the motorcycle instead of overtaking him. It could have been us that ran the lady down. And I’m afraid the impact would have been worst.
I learned that one of the benefit of “sedekah subuh” is that “Allah lindung kita dari musibah atau bencana”. Perhaps this saved us today, only by His grace. Alhamdullillah.
I hope the lady’s ok. The motorcyclist too.
