Today, we had celebrated St John Day as a Corps in a slightly different manner - through an online Zoom meeting! St John Day falls on 24 June every year, and it is a special day for all St John members. It is a day where we get the opportunity to affirm our commitment to the Brigade, and remember the service and sacrifice of those members who have come before us.

Even in the ongoing , we have been able to keep our heads high and continue marching on, both as a Corps and as a Brigade, despite the countless challenges we have faced along the way. We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has played a part in shaping our St John journey, especially our TiCs and officers!

Do remember to catch the Chief Commissioner's address at as well if you have not done so!

Wishing all St John members, both past and present, a belated happy St John Day☺️

What does it mean to ? 🏡

Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong has declared this afternoon additional measures and restrictions to be in place for the next one month. If you are not sure what it means to stay home, or what you can do to protect your loved ones, why not refer to this helpful illustration from our St John officers?

To all our members serving as healthcare professionals in the frontline, thank you.

St John urges all to practice physical distancing, good personal hygiene, and stay healthy. We will see you again in calmer waters. Meanwhile, take care.

𝗗𝗼 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁, 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗱, 𝗦𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝘂𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗿𝘂𝘀!
Ministry of Health, Singapore has now activated plans to counter the spread of the virus,” said Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong today. “Singaporeans should be calm but watchful as we implement measures to keep everybody safe and healthy.”

In six weeks, the Wuhan coronavirus has killed 25 people in China and infected 830 globally, including at least one just confirmed in Singapore yesterday. As the world’s health authorities, and our own Ministry of Health (MOH) work on containing this contagion, we should all do our part to keep our families and community safe.

The MOH has issued an advisory that prescribes the simple actions we can take to minimise the risks of transmission. Heed the instructions in the infographic (below) and share it with all your contacts!

St John Singapore has also issued an advisory to all Districts and Corps for good personal protection practices to be observed on upcoming public duties during this period of time. All personnel should be equipped with PPE, including surgical masks, gloves, and handrubs, for all upcoming duties. Corps may check in with their respective district's Public Duty Officers should they require any further clarification or assistance.

Our cadets spent their Saturday evening serving and learning alongside their seniors at NE Show! Together with new friends from Paya Lebar Methodist Girls' School Corps, out cadets helped render first aid support to the injured, and also learnt new skills and revised casualty drills under the supervision of seniors and healthcare professionals.

Our boys will be out serving again on 31st January at Day 1 of Chingay! Come say hello to us if you are attending that day!
